Tie-ups with organizations

ICL is progressing to have Tie up with University of Greenwich(www.gre.ac.uk) and the courses are starting from January 9, 2009.

About University of Greeenwich:

• The university traces its roots to 1890, when Britain’s second polytechnic was opened. Over the years a range of specialist organizations have joined the institution, giving it the diverse strength. The name Thames Polytechnic was adopted in 1970 and university status awarded in 1992. At Greenwich high standards for teaching quality and professional training opportunities are provided.
• The university has born and grew up to have three campuses: Avery Hill, in the south-east London district of Eltham, Greenwich, and Medway, at Chatham Maritime, Kent.
• The university has won two successive research-based Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education.
• The university is having Registered Office at Old Royal Naval College, Park Row, London SE10 9LS. (Registered No: 986729).
• The university exists to serve its students, business partners and the community. It has University Partners in EUROPE, ASIA, WEST INDIES, AFRICA and MIDDLE EAST. The first of these partnerships was formed in 1991, and the Colleges began to be referred to as constituting a Network from the mid-1990s onwards. In the late 1990s a more precisely defined set of relationships was set up, with the use, from 2002 onwards, of bilateral statements to accompany the Partnership Agreement for each Partner College.
• It is one of the leading modern Universities in research in the fields of computer modeling, software development, manufacturing systems, electronics manufacturing etc.
• It is one of the fastest growing universities for research income from industry.

AIESEC, Chandigarh

ICL is an associate partner of AIESEC, Chandigarh, which is a Global Leadership Program for Students of ICL College.

AIESEC is the "international platform for young students to discover and develop their potential."

What is AIESEC?
AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national, ethnic or social origin.
The Way AIESEC Do It
AIESEC provides its members with an integrated development experience comprised of leadership opportunities, international internships and participation in a global learning environment.

• All Students who agree to go on AIESEC Internships will be inducted into AIESEC as members.
• These Students will run short term projects wherein they will be organizing events relate to their fields of interest.
• The events will be promoted as being organized by ICL and AIESEC in Chandigarh.
• Faculty of ICL Colleges will be Mentors for these events.
• Under Global Leadership Program AIESEC will go ahead and promote Global Internship opportunities in the college at regular intervals.
• Promotions will be done through Information Seminars, Stall and Posters.
• AIESEC Internship Posters to be up in the college for the whole year.
• ICL to endorse AIESEC Internships for its students.

AIESEC Chandigarh hosted National Congress 2008 in January 2008. Key highlights of the conference:

• AIESEC in India elected its first woman National President , Aditi Bhat, for the term 2008-09.
• AIESEC Chandigarh won three prestigious awards at National Congress for it’s outstanding performance in 2007:
