Mrs. Bindu Chadha welcomes students.

Ever since the opening up of the Indian economy in the early 1990's, there has been an increasing demand of engineers, technologists, scientists, researchers and technocrats. For the nation to be recognized the world-over, as an economic super power, needs to enhance its productivity in various fields by setting up new industries and for these industrial powerhouses to run efficiently and efficaciously, a pool of highly skilled and quality conscious engineers are required.

And it's with this motto of serving the nation by producing a highly sophisticated technical man force, me and my team devoted ourselves to set up an Institute of excellence in the field of technical and management education. We have with us Dr. S.P. Tayal at the helm of affairs as Director-Principal to guide the destiny of young under graduate engineers just as he has been doing over the last nearly four decades at GNDE, Ludhiana.

We at ICL Group of Colleges work with a missionary zeal, for we recognize the importance of quality in producing engineers. In the present global order, competition is a buzzword. In the era of cutthroat competition, Charles Darwin's theory of “Survival of the Fittest” applied without any reservation to one and all. It is only the very best, the cream which is going to be skimmed by the industry and Govt. Organizations. With our vision family focused on the above criterion, we have been making strenuous efforts to provide all the necessary logistical support to our students, so that they broaden their horizon and deepen their insight about the fascinating world of engineering.

Apart from technical and management education, my institute will also be laying considerable emphasis on a total or holistic personality development of the students by providing them with regular feast of extra curricular activities. Debates, Declamation, Contests, Seminars, Cultural activities like song and drama will be organized on a regular basis. For this purpose we shall be setting up different societies in the college, headed by a faculty member and associated by students so that a healthy atmosphere of learning from partnership is inculcated.We are also conscious of the fact that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, and so sports events in various disciplines will be organized regularly. Even otherwise, the location of our institute is in some of the most scenic and healthy surroundings one can imagine. It is pollution free environment, which serves just as the right catalyst for studying and the accomplishment of one's goal.

To conclude, I therefore on behalf of the Management Committee, invite you to the temple of learning. Where all your aspiration and expectations would be met to your satisfaction. I can assure you that the years you spend with us would be the most unforgettable one, for they will shape your future and make you stand out as excellent professional.
