Manager - Training & Placements - ICL Group of Colleges

Ms. Neha is Manager – Training & Placements in the ICL Group of Colleges. The placement cell stands out as the most important element of the Department providing the most sought after opportunities for the ICL Students. The placement committee comprises of faculty and students with experienced Placement Officers. The objectives of the placement cell include helping students to plan their future career, maintaining liaison with prospective employers, preparing students for interviews, and getting placements. Ms. Neha, is a post graduate in management and had the honors of heading a Exxelon International, a Placement outfit with highly successful track record in the field of placements. Her experience in the field of placements at the international level would be highly rewarding and beneficial.

With the graduating batch of 56 students to be placed this year, ICL went into final placements with an air of Optimism. ICL is having its first year of placements and with magnificent show within few days, where as many as 10 companies participated in the recruitment process in the first week and offered as many as 45 job offers in respective fields and the six students accepted the offers made by the companies on the first day. With a great beginning there were wide spread jubilation on campus with hallowed mark of getting hundred percent placements in a matter of few days only.
Out of the six jobs accepted during the first week itself, four were of Marketing, one for consulting and remaining one for finance. Marketing still remains to be an evergreen sector and the first choice among majority of students. The quantity and quality of marketing profiles is still amongst the best available in the country today, and marketing remains to be a popular option on the campus. The companies that recruited ICL budding managers include Pantaloons, Coca-Cola, Reliance Communication, TUV, ALS, SNA Power to name a few.
There are many companies which are in queue to visit the campus. Being the first year for placements, ICL management is overwhelmed with the initial response that they have got from different companies. Brig N P Sharma, Director General ICL group of colleges attributes this achievement to the excellent pedagogy, competencies and values that students acquire at ICL group of colleges under the valuable guidance of the Director Principal of the Institute Dr Savita Sharma, thereby realizing the dream of the astute Management headed by the renowned professional, Mr Sanjeev Chadha. With the economy which is recovering steadily, these students are bound to make the best out of it and create a niche in the Corporate World for themselves as well as their Alma Mater, The ICL College of Management and Technology. Brig Sharma also showed his optimism to achieve hundred percent placements by the end of March 2010. Efforts put in by the Training and Placement Team was also lauded by one and all.
