ICL Institute of Management and Technology, one of the premier institutes of professional studies today organized a series of Orientation programmes for MBA Students on “Human Revolution”, “Professional Development for professional excellence in 21st century” and “Mantra’s for excellence in campus placements”. Mr S P Bhandari, CEO of Success Horizons with an experience of over 39 years in the corporate world shared his thoughts with students of the Institute on humanistic education. “The basis of education should be holistic development, to inculcate ethical human values ahead of materialistic values. The success in life is highly significant provided we plough back moderately to the society” said Mr Bhandari. He also emphasized on inculcating respect and love for all human beings. Mr Vivek Sahni, Communication trainer emphasized on the importance of nurturing the budding managers with the skills of presentation and personality development. Mr. Sahni through various case studies and moral stories inculcated the feeling to bring a change in one’s persona. Mrs Ginni Ghumman, Communication Trainer gave her insight on how to hone personal skills to attain success in the interview sessions. She emphasized on the common mistakes that candidate makes during an Interview and how to avoid such mistakes. She also briefed students about the importance of body language and presentation skills. At ICL we focus on honing our student’s skill through peer, industry and leader interaction. The idea is to provide opportunities for students to get experimental learning. Meeting people from different walks of life, who are acknowledged leaders, fosters into student’s leadership skills and nurtures their capability of making a difference in the management and corporate world.” Says Brig Sharma.

25th September’09, Global Innovsource Limited, an end to end HR Solutions Company visited the campus of ICL Group of Colleges as part of the placement plan organized for the students of MBA regarding their upcoming placements. Representing the company their head Mr. Himanshu Visht accompanied by his team members Mr. Shyam K.Mishra and Mr.Vishal Sharma enlightened the students on the hub of opportunities and avenues available in the corporate world in current and upcoming scenarios and also introduced them to their own job portal “jobex”. This placement drive was organized under the authority of the college’s director General – Brig N.P.Sharma and Director – Dr. Savita Sharma and the guidance of the college placement team headed by Mr. Aman Grewal and it was attended very enthusiastically and keenly by all the MBA students. |

Miss Pooja Chhabra was crowned Miss Fresher’s -2009, ICL Institute of Management and Technology Shahzadpur on 11 Sep 2009 during the Fresher’s Day function held at USA Gardens, Near Ambala. She added another feather in her cap by bagging star of the evening prize. Mr Simranpreet Singh was crowned Mr Fresher’s-2009. The contestants were put through various rounds of ramp walk, traditional divas and questions to test wits and expression. Interspersed with music and dance show performance, the show accorded honours to many contestants. Mr Personality was won by Mr Ankush Chander and Miss Personality was bagged by Miss Tarundeep Kaur. Priya Bharti Arora bagged the Special Prize for her scintillating, all round stage performance and exhibiting quality talent. Mr Sanjeev Chadha, President, ICL Group of Colleges was the chief guest. The Director Principal, ICL Institute of Management and Technology , Dr Savita Sharma, called event as highly innovative, refreshing and interactive for the seniors and the fresher’s. She complimented the students and staff for hosting Fresher’s Day in a professional manner demonstrating huge reservoir of talent , confidence and charisma by the wannabe managers.

The Fresher’s Day by the ICL Institute of Engineering and Technology, ICL Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and ICL Institute of Architecture part of the ICL Group of Colleges, Shahzadpur was celebrated on 10 Sep 2009 at USA Gardens, Near Ambala . Mr and Miss Fresher’s from different streams and Institutes were awarded. Miss Poorti Garg was crowned Miss Fresher’s -2009 and Akshay and Ramandeep grabbed Mr Fresher for ECE stream. Ujawla was Miss Fresher’s and Kumar Satyam was Mr Fresher’s for CSE Stream. Rohit Sharma was Mr Fresher’s for Mechanical stream. The contestants were put through various rounds of ramp walk, traditional divas and questions to test wits and expression. Interspersed with music and dance show performance, the show accorded honours to the contestants. The drizzle added the cool flavor to the highly charged and thrilling ambiance. Mr Sanjeev Chadha, President, ICL Group of Colleges was the chief guest. The Principal of the ICL Institute of Management and Technology, Dr D Pattnaik called event as highly entertaining, refreshing and interactive for the seniors and the fresher. Guest Lecture : Marketing in the Millenium |

A guest lecture was organized in the ICL Group of Colleges on Marketing in the Millennium by Hon’ble Dr. Jyoti Novare, the Head of Department of Marketing & Enterprise in the Middlesex University Business School, London on 8th Sept, 09. Dr. Jyoti Novare is a Doctor of Philosophy in Risk Management (Southampton University), MBA, a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has a number of years experience as an International Risk Manager and Underwriter based in London and Sweden and working closely with Financial Services organisation and governments internationally. The lecture was based upon her years of experience, work undertaken on the future of marketing. She enriched the audience on various emerging trends in marketing like the changing context of marketing, the possible economic scenarios and the variable affecting the future growth of marketing. She laid emphasis on the way the modern marketers should cope up their marketing efforts such as providing customers value for their money, Mass Customerization, Choice fatigue in the 21st Century. The talk was attended by the top management, host of faculties and the wannabe managers of the ICL Institutes. All audience appreciated the talk on Marketing in the Millennium. Back |
