It is the time of the year when college campuses across the country are bustling with farewells and same was the scene in ICL . The first batch is going to be completed successfully and to bless them for their bright future .ICL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & TECHNOLOGY organized a Farewell party to their Final Year students and this became the memorable day for whole ICL family as ICL believes in doing with style & grace whatever they do.
The complete show was hosted by the first year students which started with a welcome speech by Ms Priya Bharti & Mr. Ankush followed by the lamp lighting ceremony by PRESIDENT - Mr. Sanjeev Chadha, SECRETARY- Mrs. Bindu Chadha, Director General- Brig(Retd). N.P Sharma Director/ Principal- Dr.Savita Sharma. The occasion was marked by completely eye catching performances by the juniors to make their seniors feel how dearly they will be missing them Flawless dance performances along with the songs make the seniors feel how loveable & helpful they were to their juniors.
The titles of Mr.& Ms. ICL were awarded to Mr. Sumit Sharma & Ms. Kanwarpreet kaur and the titles of Mr.& Ms. Outstanding were awarded to Mr. Dheeraj Rao & Ms. Ashima Marya.
On this glittering occasion the seniors couldn’t stop themselves from reacting & said how touched they are with the feelings that their juniors & teachers have for them they shared their old & gold memories as “YAADEN” with all present there. Thanks speech was given by Mr. Shivam Puri on behalf of IInd year students .Mr. Jangbhadur Singh & Mr. Amandeep Singh had given motivational speech to their juniors, which would help them on the path of success. The mixed feeling of joy & separation was in the air as it was the time for ICL’s first batch of MBA to leave the college & step into the corporate world to make a significant contribution.
“Though the feeling of our students stepping to the corporate world , whom we have nurtured for complete two years brings, satisfaction & joy but on the other hand the feeling of departing makes us feel really touched” says Dr. Savita Sharma Director Principal MBA.
The words which were shared by the management, will surely help to enlighten the future of all budding managers.

A seminar was organized in ICL Group of Colleges
on ‘Industrial Automation’ by MAX Group of Companies, Delhi a leading name in industrial automation and instrumentation.
The seminar was delivered by Mr Anurag Singh and Ms Vineeta Devi, faculty from Max Group. They introduced the PLP technology
to the students and explained the need and demand of automation in a very interesting manner and imparted hand on practical training
to the students. Er Virender Sahni (HOD, ECE Department) and training & placement coordinator organised this event and generated
awareness among the students of B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, as a result maximum students of 2nd and 4th semester
(about 90 students) attended and got benefited from this seminar. The guest faculty from Max Group were welcomed by Dr. A. L. Gauba
(Director Principal) and Executive from Department of Career Planning and Placements of ICL.
Students of 4th semester, B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
were also offered number of opportunities for Summer Trainings in industrial automation at Delhi with MAX Group. ICL stands committed
towards students for summer training and placements in such leading and reputed Industries. The Department of Career Planning and
Placements of ICL has tie up with about 200 companies to efficiently execute and fulfill this promise.

ARTWORLD - HR Solution Provider
visited our campus on 3rd March ‘2010 to recruit summer trainees for Marketing and HR. The goal of the company is to
become the largest service provider in their chosen market by client satisfaction, professionalism, superior quality
and innovations.
The company will provide a 2 months compulsory
training followed by a project report to the chosen students, and all this shall be under the guidance of their mentor. The exemplary
performers will be awarded stipends and the job offer.
Each team will have one HR and one marketing member to complete task.
- Institutional: The marketing trainee will have go to study institutions in and around the city. They will have to meet the TPO's collect student database etc. The HR trainees will need to prepare a report on analysis of the student quality, skill sets, qualification etc as per IT standards and suggest the measures to be taken by the company for initial training and orientation program.
- Market Research: The marketing candidate will go in and around the city to study the web designing and web development market. After studying the trainees will also have an experience of selling. The HR trainees will meanwhile see the skills deficiency in the current team as per the market demand. After which they will design and implement some training program in the organization.
- Branding: Marketing people only. The trainees will have to build strategy to pull out the brand image of the company.
- Generalist: The trainee will be trained in all aspects of HR and will be under HR executive.

Mr P Venketesh, Head HR of vAngels Technologies visited the college
campus on 19 February 2010 to deliver a seminar on Online Marketing.Colonel Sukhpal Singh, Member of Career Planning and Placements
extend a warm welcome to Mr Venketesh and thanked him for accepting the proposal to hold the seminar and being partners in Training and
Placements.
This seminar also marks the beginning of Placement activities of the new session which commenced on 15 February 2010. The seminar was attended by many enthusiastic students as well faculty to learn e-Marketing as it is popularly known, and the geniuses and innovations of on line marketing over the years.
Mr Venketesh showcased the career opportunities in the domain of Marketing and also how a student with Online Marketing skills as an additional knowledge will benefit in respect of the student with plain Marketing education. He said that when corporate hire a new employee, the golden rule of today’s corporate world is to get the maximum out of one employee. What skills do you have which can add value to the employers organization. A student who has knowledge of Online Marketing will be at an additional advantage when he is facing the corporate world. The major corporate or players in the market are slowly shifting their marketing focus towards online, looking at how the internet is going to rule the world in the years to come. The corporate benefits, in a way that this tool called Online Marketing is a faster way to penetrate the market and also the reach ability percentage is more. Also the cost when compared to other ways of marketing is comparatively less,
In addition, the enthusiastic students learned blogging, buying of on line domain name and earning money through on line work. Three hours long seminar concluded with a Role Play Act on internet marketing by the students. Ms Ankur Malik, student of MBA 4th Semester delivered the vote of thanks.
ICL is pleased to inform that at the end of the seminar v Angels technologies Pvt Ltd offered many job offers to final year MBA students and summer training opportunities to MBA 1st year students. In a corporate level meeting with the college management Mr P Venketesh, Head HR of vAngels Technologies expressed high praises for the quality of students, competence level of the faculty and vision of the top management. The company has agreed to sign a MoU with the College to be future partners in training and placements of B.Tech and MBA students.

The inaugural ICL Inter Clubs Cricket (T20 format)
Tournament commenced from 03 Feb to 13 Feb 2010 in the premises of ICL Group of Colleges. The inauguration of the tournament was done by
the Director General, ICL Group of Colleges on 03 Feb 2010 with much fanfare and jubilations.
16 teams are taking part from the various clubs of
Chandigarh, Ambala and Himachal Pradesh. Dinesh Mongia, former Indian Test and one day Cricketer
represented Chetna XI, Chandigarh on 04 Feb 2010. He played pivotal role in Chetna XI win by scored scintillating and magnificent 74 runs
in 38 balls against SD College Ambala.
Tournament Schedule
Two matches are being played every day on knock out basis. The matches will start at
1030 hrs
Every day. The schedule of draws and the results of the matches being played on daily basis is

Rules
The tournament will be held in accordance with the rules laid down in SSCB/YMCA rule book and as
amendments from time to time.
• Each team would be given 80 minutes to complete twenty over’s, failing which same numbers would be deducted while batting.
• The field restrictions will be applicable for first six over’s. Only two players are permitted outside 30 yards circle.
• Each bowler is permitted to bowl maximum four over’s only.
• Incase of tie, one super over will be bowled by each team in which three batsmen shall be nominated from each team. The maximum score will be declared winner.
If still the tie persists, the super over by bowlers only will be bowled.
• All the members of the team will wear proper white cricket dress and the cricket/ white shoes.
• The umpire’s decision is binding for all teams and no appeal will be entertained.
• The cricket balls would be provided by the organizers of the ICL Group of Colleges.
Prizes
The final match would be played on 13 Feb 2010. The winners of the tournament would get the cash prizes
Rs 15000/- and the runners would get Rs 5000/-.
