Aims & Objectives

  • The scholar at ICL will skill blend of theoretical knowledge and first hand practice with on job experience. The aim is to appraise the students about the concepts of Hotel Management control system as well as its role in efficient management of public system organizations.
  • The course is designed to acquaint the students with decision making in: Planning, scheduling and control of Production and Operation functions in both manufacturing and services; Productivity improvement in operations through quality management;
  • To equip the students with the basic understanding of the service methodology and to provide an insight into the application of modern analytical tools and techniques of management decision making.
  • To acquaint the students with the concepts which are helpful in developing a sound sales and service policy for growth and in organizing and managing sales force and marketing channels for development and expansion.

Keeping in view the role of placements in the success of any kind of the educational organization, the college has set up a placement cell which will be under the direct supervision of the Director Operations to ensure 100% placements for all the students who pass with the good marks.

Course Structure

The objective of this course is to acquaint the students with theory and techniques used in the field of hotel, hospitality and quality food production & service and to enable the progeny to apply knowledge in business decision making for their professional growth.

The 4 core areas will be:

  • Front Office Operation
  • Accommodation Operations
  • Theoretical classes along with practical sessions to develop practical competence in the above core areas.

The student also gets exposure to allied areas like:

  • Hotel Engineering

The Hospitality, Human Resource & Leadership Management, Internship seminar with financial accounting & Analysis and the techniques of arranging convention, meetings and special events with personality development will be few major area of concern. The students will be familiarize with basic management concept and behaviour processes in the organizational.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent with English as a subject (compulsory) are eligible for taking admission in these courses. Candidates should not be more than 22 years of age as on 1st June, 2008. SC/ST candidates are however, given a relaxation up to 3 years.

Admission Procedure

Selection is made on the basis of inter merit of Online Entrance Test OLET(BHM&CT) conducted by HSCS through NIC. After the Online Entrance Test, Online off Campus counseling would be conducted by NIC.
