General Facilities at ICL

Library

The library plays an important and quite significant role in student's knowledge gaining by imparting better education, both formal and in-formal. A full fledge formal & in-formal library exists in the College. Photostat facility is available at the normal price. Enrolment to the library services by depositing of nominal security is primary requirement. Library operates from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on all working days except on Saturdays and Sundays. Library membership is granted for one academic year. Books written by authors of eminence in various disciplines of engineering & MBA have been provided in adequate numbers for the students. The Institute's library facilitates the student centered learning, research and information literacy. Through its client focused librarian the library provides resources accessible to all students. The institute's computerized library network not only offers traditional library facility but also provides regular magazines, journals, periodicals of reputed organizations for students use. Other facilities available include the internet, DVDRW, Bibliographies, reading list and much more. A book bank for the needy students is also available in the library.

Medical Facilities:
Besides separate first aid boxes in hostels and academic blocks, the medical officers have been engaged for the time to time medical treatment of the students. The vehicle along with attendant is maintained in the campus in the case of emergency situation. A general dispensary is fully functional. So the medical facilities for the students are available.

Internet Lease Line connectivity:
Besides a big centrally air-conditioned computer centre having about 100 advanced PC's with world class networking the high speed (1:1). Lease line connectivity internet facility having a band width of 512 kbps is available for the students round the clock. The students are also provided with the separate slots of internet in addition to the curriculum program.

Sports Facilities:
The playgrounds and infrastructure for the outdoor games of basketball, volley ball, cricket and badminton have been made available in the campus. The facilities for indoor games are also available.

Extra-Curriculum Activities:
The institute has set up various societies catering to the different types of extra curricular activities for the students who may want to participate in it. The Cultural Societies, Literary Society etc. have been formed so as to provide the students with an institutional support for developing their special skills culmination in a fuller expression of their personalities, Debates, Seminars, Rangolis are an integral component of learning at the institute.

Transportation:

The management is running a fleet of modern and comfortable buses for day scholars from Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kharar, Shahbad, Saha, Barwala, Derabassi, Zirakpur, Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula. The bus service is optional and running on no profit and no loss basis. Various pickup points have been identified in these towns to facilitate students to commute from the points nearest to their houses.
